Aquael Phosmax Pro 1L Absorbent of Phosphate, Prevents Algae Development

PhosMAX Pro is a unique element intended for chemical filtration of water in freshwater aquariums and terrarium pools. It has the form of sacks of non-fusible interlining material filled with specially selected, filler stabilized, ion-exchanging resin. It serves for chemical absorption of phosphates dissolved in water, being one of the main causes of development of onerous algae in the aquarium. The unique, ion-exchanging resin applied in PhosMAX Pro has excellent absorptive properties. Absorbing phosphate ions dissolved in water, it is exceptionally effective in prevention of development of algae. PhosMAX Pro is perfect as a filter bed in canister filters, overflow filters, sumps, and filtering stacks. It is particularly recommended for tanks with very large numbers of fish fed with meat food (e.g. large cichlids, catfish) and derived of plants being natural phosphate absorbents. Application of PhosMAX Pro allows for limitation of volume and frequency of water replacements and effectively prevents development of algae in the tank.

How to apply PhosMAX Pro?

PhosMAX Pro is ready for use out of the box and does not require rinsing or any other additional actions. Place the contents of the package in a filtration basket or filtration chamber. In order to ensure optimum application results it is recommended to place the PhosMAX Pro element behind the elements for mechanical and biological filtration.

How long does PhosMAX Pro work?

The manner of operation of the PhosMAX Pro element (sorption) causes it to sustain gradual packing and wear. For the purpose of maintaining optimum filtration properties, it is recommended to replace it not less frequently than every 4 weeks. One package ensures filtration in a ca. 200 l aquarium for ca. 30 days
