Uses

• Povidone iodine is an antiseptic used for skin disinfection before and after surgery mainly for the treatment of contaminated wounds and pre-operative preparation of the skin and mucous membranes
• It is also used  for the treatment of minor cuts, abrasions and skin infections
• Shows effective microbial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa and yeasts.

How to use

• For topical use only.
• Shake well before use.
• Apply directly to the wounds, cuts and burns
• If necessary, the treated area may be covered with a dressing.

Special warnings and precautions for use

• For external use only.DO NOT SWALLOW
• Keep all medicines away from children.
• Not for use in closed body cavities or on surgical wounds due to risk of oxygen released into the circulation causing gas embolism.
• Product bleaches fabric.
• Do not use in the eyes or apply over large areas of skin.
