Barley Straw Double is a natural decomposition of Barley Straw which gives rise to anti- algae factors.  These are effective against algae and blanket weed. This double pack treats 7000 litres (1600 gallons) for 6 months.  Barley straw is a natural method to maintenance of your pond, and to prevent potential damage to the pond in the long run. Even though barley cannot remove algae as fast as other chemical treatments, it works as a good long-term control method.  It can help stop algae coming back in future, which is why it has becoming more popular. It takes 28 days to start working effectively. Keep pouch close to surface preferably in water moving by filter or pump flow.

Key Features:

Have only one inch of fish per ten gallons of water.
Your fish can affect the pond water quality. First of all the number of fish should correspond to the pond size because the organic waste will increase with more fish.

Avoid direct sunlight as green water is due to small algae cell.
When these small algae cells come in contact with sunlight produce algae by photosynthesis.

Control amount of nitrates and phosphates as it is very harmful for the pond’s ecosystem and helps in algae growth.
These are food sources for algae.

Use plenty of aquatic plants.
Aquatic plants in the pond have a huge impact on growing green algae cells as algae require sunlight for its survival, so when aquatic plants restrict the amount of sunlight, green algae-causing cells are prohibited.

Regularly clean all the debris which gets settled down at the bottom of the pond.
Consider using UV clarifiers to help in pond green water treatment.
It does not harm the pond and aquatic life in any way.
