Olive Pomace Oil
Olive pomace oil is olive oil that is extracted from olive pulp after the first press. Once the mechanical oil extraction of olive oil is complete, approximately 5–8% of the oil remains in the pulp, which then needs to be extracted with the help of solvents, an industrial technique used in the production of most other edible oils including canola, peanut, and sunflower.
Refined Olive Pomace oil is oil obtained through treatment of Olive Pomace with solvent (hexane), excluding those obtained through rusterification and any blend with other types of oil.
Pomace oil has a disinfecting, cleansing effect on the skin and is used to make many skin care or hair care products. It is also used as a base essential oil in producing mild and creamy olive oil soap due to its easy saponification. Helps to strengthen nails and soften cuticles.
